NGT Specialty Valves

For 10 years, NGT has been supplying a diverse selection of specialty valves that provides our customers with greater flexibility when it comes to design. We are also dedicated to increasing the quality of our product through continuous testing and redesign. The testing improves our ability to provide greater engineering information to our customers and helps us determine the limits of our product. Send us a sketch or a description of your request and we will get back to you within 12 hours. NGT will only work on a limited number of customer requests simultaneously in order to make sure the project is completed on time.

The balanced check has been cycle tested without lubrication for 10 million cycles with no sign of wear or failure. Most ball or poppet type check valves that lock pneumatic cylinders in position, require high opening forces. Forces wear on the valve each time it's cycled. A balanced design increases valve life by reducing operating forces. With air trapped behind the poppet (output side), the checked piston tries to pull the poppet off its seat. Slightly increasing the pressure area behind the poppet makes it larger than the piston area, and partially biases the poppet to its seat. With pressure applied to the pilot, the force required to open the poppet is the small difference in pressure between poppet and balancing piston.

1/8, 1/4, and 3/8 NPTF "A" Series Valves (Cv=1.2)
The new "A" Series valves with flow controls, provide air-tight locking with metered flow from the output to input. The combination of the smaller valve and the built-in flow control provides a small package that is ideal for lowering loads carried by large cylinders. The manual release is also metered so that when activated, the load will not crash to the ground.

1/8, 1/4 & 3/8 Valves (Cv=1.2)
NGT has designed a new series of valves that are smaller than our current 1/8, 1/4 & 3/8 designs, with a flow coefficient of 1.2. These smaller valves are available with solenoid operated air pilots and a manual release. The new valves are currently listed under 'New Products' and are currently in stock. If you cannot find what you are looking for, just call (262) 782-6125, and we can talk about your request.

Dual Locking Valve for 2012 Series Numatics Valve
We now have a bolt-on dual locking valve the fits between the solenoids and the base of the Numatics 2012 Series Valve. The purpose of the valve is to provide bubble-tight operation for those circuits that require bubble-tight operation. Just pull off the solenoids, screw in the studs, slide the valve on the studs and replace the coils. There are no external wires or air connections. No external mounts are required. The new valve is currently listed under 'New Products' and is currently in stock.

New Pneumatic Dual Pilot Operated Check Valve
NGT Specialty Valves introduces a new Dual Pilot Operated Check valve, this valve was specially designed for the Automotive Industry where trapped air must be automatically released when the production line is shut down. In the event of a pressure drop or total loss of pressure, this unique valve maintains cylinder position by locking air on both sides of the cylinder. A single air pilot signal can exhaust trapped air to atmosphere. Options include dual flow control valves for speed adjustment and manual release buttons to release trapped air. 3/8" and 1/2" NPTF is in stock and ready to be shipped the same day.

Available models: D6C00EA-FL, D8C00EA-FL, D6C0MEA-FL, D8C0MEA-FL, DC6FMEA-FL, D8CFMEA-FL. Call NGT for BSPP ports.

New Pilot-Operated Check Valve for Non-Magnetic Applications
NGT Specialty Valves has introduced a new pilot-operated check valve for applications in which magnetic interference is not acceptable. Recently, a manufacturer of medical equipment approached us looking for a pilot-operated check valve to install on a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Machine. We modified a stock valve and removed all the ferrous materials, replacing them with high strength materials that would not affect the magnetic imagining. These modifications allow this valve to be used where standard valves would cause problems. The bubble-tight feature helped maintain position without drift and the manual release allowed the operator to release the trapped air manually.

Available models: Stock sizes include 1/8", 1/4" and 3/8" NPTF ports, with manual and flush manual release options. Flow controls are available on 1/4" and 3/8" models. Direct mount models can be bolted directly to the cylinder or manifold.

About NGT Specialty Valves:
NGT Specialty Valves designs, manufactures, and stocks a line of load locking valves and specialty valves for maintaining position in the event of a pressure drop or to prevent drifting due to leaky spool valves. Their focus on locking valves makes them a reliable manufacturer for any valving application that requires positive locking in applications where stopping of motion is required.
